Savvy Fun Day
20th July 2008
Moulton College |
Four of us got together for a full day of activity outdoors at the Cross-Country Course at Moulton College . Weather was a little windy but not too much and though we did have a bit of rain on the morning it literally only lasted about 10min. Just enough time to get a bit wet but not long enough to grab the waterproofs, not that I had mine with me.
Nathaly Stobbe came with Jasper who looked a lot lighter than I remembered. It was great to see Nathaly ride in the afternoon with only her hackamore as previously she always used a bridle with her hackamore. (Jasper has a tendency to be a little cheeky)
Comet what a lovely horse, Welsh x Arab and stunning, very much the baby and all wide eyed at everything that was going on but Catherine was great with him. Even managing to execute some lovely circles in the circling game, after Catherine said earlier to playing this game in the format of " I can't get him to circle" Hmm!! Looks great to me.
Amber what a mare she was, very bolshy and strong minded, Evelyn ever so patient did great and after some games of approach and retreat and getting past thresholds Amber then decided going into the coffin was a pretty cool idea.
We all know Kyle and his cute factor, here is his comical side. Decided he would stop mid jump and graze.. Then later we had a chat.
We again had the use of all the various jumps that were of various heights and designs to add some imagination and fun into the day. Brian came and took some photos which are great and you can view these via the link below. Thresholds were overcome as well as new challenges for horse and human and we all learnt something to take home.
A FANTASTIC DAY.
